3-Day Intensive Training on Investigative Environmental Journalism, Data Journalism & Water Governance

The Continental Leadership Research Institute (CLRI) invites journalists and media students from across Zambia to apply for a 3-day intensive capacity-building program aimed at strengthening skills in:

Investigative Environmental Reporting

Data Journalism

Water Governance and Accountability

This training will equip participants with practical tools to investigate, analyse, and report on environmental and water-related issues affecting communities, governance systems, and sustainable development.

Who Should Apply

Practicing print, broadcast, and digital journalists

Journalism and media students (final-year students encouraged)

Freelance journalists with a strong interest in environmental and water issues

📌 Journalists and media students from the Copperbelt and North-Western Provinces are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given priority consideration, in recognition of the environmental and water governance challenges in mining-affected regions.

Training Outcomes

Participants will gain:

Practical investigative reporting and data analysis skills

Hands-on experience in data-driven storytelling

Enhanced understanding of water governance, environmental accountability, and justice
