James Addison is a seasoned CEO, social innovator, and one of Africa’s leading pioneers in Emotional Intelligence. He founded Ghana’s first Centre for Emotional Intelligence and is the country’s first internationally certified Emotional Intelligence Master Coach. With extensive leadership experience across public, private, and civil society sectors, he is recognised for driving organisational transformation, strengthening governance, and building leadership capacity.

James holds three Master’s Degrees from the University of Cape Coast, Coventry University, and Presbyterian University. He serves as a visiting lecturer across West Africa and has led major development initiatives, including advancing the SESA Africa programme through strategic partnerships with NGOs, faith networks, and traditional leaders.

 

The author of ten books on Emotional Intelligence, James remains committed to shaping ethical, emotionally grounded leaders—bringing strategic insight and dedication to his role as Vice Board Chair of the Continental Leadership Research Institute.
