The Continental Leadership Research Institute (CLRI) joined other regional stakeholders at the “Corridor Voices: Civil Society at the Heart of Inclusive and Sustainable Lobito Corridor Development” regional meeting, reaffirming its commitment to promoting inclusive and community-centered development.
The meeting, which brought together civil society organizations from Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Zambia, as well as government ministries, the European Union, and international partners, focused on ensuring that infrastructure investments—particularly the Lobito Corridor—translate into tangible social and economic benefits for communities along the route.
The Corridor Voices Initiative, launched by People in Need Zambia, seeks to place communities and civil society at the heart of the Lobito Corridor’s development, ensuring that infrastructure projects are inclusive, sustainable, and beneficial to women, youth, and marginalized groups.
Through its participation, CLRI reaffirmed its dedication to advancing community empowerment, social accountability, and equitable development across the region, in line with Zambia’s Vision 2030 and the principles of sustainable development. People in Need Zambia
